INFORMATION – FINLAND

You do not have to speak Finnish to be an au pair in Finland. This is where Santa and Mrs Claus and
their elves live throughout the year making toys for Christmas. Here you will find a Sauna in every home as taking a Sauna is a way of life for the Fins. Helsinki is the capital city. Many families live on a farm. Many have horses. There are few big cities. Finland is a country of small towns and villages. Good and varied cuisine and wonderful peace and nature loving people await you.

Make Finland your ideal GAP YEAR or EXPERIENCE OF A LIFE TIME.

There is always a demand for aupairs and those with a qualification are highly valued.Families will give preference to applicants with the JCR childminding/aupair certificate. Obtain your aupair certificate now through the on-line JCR Aupair course. Benefit by being given priority placement.

Age group: 18 – 30 Single Males and Females
Education: Completed year 10 or higher.

regular interaction with children, not related to you, up to age 12.

close end of March.

If your country has a 12 month Working Holiday Visa agreement with Finland you can apply. Holders of a European Union passport are not subject to any visa conditions but do have to register with the Finnish authorities.

Applicants to Finland must speak good English as families wish their children to learn to
speak English.
