AUPAIR IN HOLLAND

You do not have to speak Dutch to be an aupair in Holland. Easy going Netherlands is the home of historic figures such as Van Gogh, Rubens, Rembrandt and Anne Frank, visiting efteling (best theme park of the world) in the south of Netherlands. Because of the location of this country you can play almost any outdoor (and indoor) sport you can imagine. Holland has lovely beaches during the summer and wonderful skating on frozen rivers in the winter. Riding a bike is an easy and an efficient way of getting around the cities.
 
There is always a demand for aupairs and those with a qualification are highly valued. Families will give preference to applicants with childminding/aupair certificate.

REQUIREMENTS

Age Bar : Between 18 and 25, both males and females, single
Education : Passed year 12 or higher. Also year 10 completion will be allowed if followed by other studies or practical childcare experience.
Childcare Experience : Minimum 50 hours but up to 200 hours is preferred.
Period of Commitment :  12 months placement all year round.
Visa  : 12 month aupair visa. This visa can be extended further 6 months if you wish to stay with the family.

AUPAIRS MUST

1. Work maximum 30 hours per week with maximum 8 hours a day.
2. Childcare and light household works which could include shopping, dusting, vacuuming, ironing.
3. 1 or 2 evenings baby sitting.
4. Be willing to go to classes to learn to speak Dutch.
5. Be a non smoker
6. Have a valid driving license
7. Be willing and able to adapt to another culture
8. Have a good sense of responsibility and a positive attitude.
